Portrait of Layne

This is a portrait of Layne Sizemore (a first year photography student). Layne happily modeled for a portrait for an assignment for commercial class. We had to set up the studio and create lighting that would cause the background to go completely white...no shadows could show. We had to shoot it with medium format and scan it in to create a digital file. The exposure was F/8 @ 1/60 and we shot with a Mamiya 645 and used transparency film.
Layne was a lot of fun to photography. She had a lot of beautiful and fun expressions, which made my job easier. Thanks Layne for modeling for me!

Handbag

These photographs (4 total) were shot with a team effort. The team consisted of Jonathan Andrews, Jessica Benton, Christie Bullins, and myself...Kathryn Lawson...all of are in commercial photography class together. We had to come up with a plan together, photograph a hi-key scene, low-key scene, and two other shots. Then we chose 4 images and edited as a team. The exposure was f/9 @ 1/200. We used a flash and a warm colored reflector.
